The Art of Balance
The concept of balance is simple and profound and we first encounter it when
we learn to walk. It is at the heart of some of the greatest healing systems like
yoga, ayurveda and Chinese medicine.
Health is found in a balanced life, a balance between the mind and the body,
work and rest, a balanced diet and a balance of the five elements – ether, air,
water, fire and earth - that make up the physical body and the environment. As
the mind and emotions becomes balanced, a sense of perspective is gained,
resulting in a feeling of peace.
We get blown off course sometimes and loose our balance. The art of
recuperation is the concept of balance in our lives. Yoga and Ayurveda help us to
return to a point of balance.
The breathwork, meditation, sound, yoga and wholesome nutrition can help
people live healthy lives and cultivate healthy communities and help themselves
and others heal from physical and emotional ailments.
